OUT OF THE BLUTH
The best show on TV is being sent off Fox with a two-hour finale on a Friday (the third time slot its been seen in now). Only it is really just dumping the last four episodes on a Friday night. It's competition for the evening: NBC's opening ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games.
Gee, thanks for your support Fox.
OK, seriously, I know Fox didn't have to renew AD for this year at all. I just think that good, offbeat comedies aren't given time and promotion anymore (See Scrubs for another example). Switching nights, pulling it off the air for weeks at a time - how is anyone supposed to know when it's actually on unless you are a devotee of the show. Seinfeld wasn't a hit until its 3rd or 4th year. Meanwhile a show like Will & Grace which was never good, gets promotion and a steady night & time.
Ah, you know. I'm just complaining b/c a show I actually like may be coming to an end. Here's hoping ABC picks it up and does a better job with it than Fox.
